The company Erwin Grossmann was founded in 1960 as a one-man firm by Mr. Erwin Grossmann. Due to continious increasing order volumes new buildings were built in 1966, 1980 and 1985/86. The positive development of the business is the result of forward looking management and the dedication of our employees.

In 1990 an up-to-date facility was installed which is saving valuable raw materials and which returns recycled materials in the best quality into the production circuit.

With the new foundation of Erwin Grossmann GmbH & Co. KG at the beginning of 1994 the second generation, the sons Michael, Udo and Dieter Grossmann, joined the management of the company. They had already been employed in the on-man-firm.

Nowadays about 65 employees are working in two factories. In factory I annually over 265 million thermoplastical parts are produced on more than 55 of the most modern injection moulding machines up to 1.300 kN closing pressure. On more than 24 compression moulding machines with 2 to 15 tons pressure efficiency about 25 million pieces thermosetting closures are produced in factory II.

Aspecially developed maschines are used for the assembly of individual parts. The assembly is partly done in our factory by qualified staff, partly by over 100 specially trained home workers and by briefed assembling companies. No ecologically harmful additives are used. Pharmaceutical articles are unexceptional manufactured under supervison of specially trained staff. Due to a toolmaking innovation the inserts are now clamped into the screw-caps and lids in most cases.

Among our customers are leading companies from the cosmetic, pharmaceutical an chemical sector as well as food- and semi-luxury. The export of around 30% takes place worldwide, of which the main share is taken off by the european neighbouring countries.
