The possibilities of moulding plastic closures are huge.

Nowadays the most common plastic closure is the screw cap. It has a screw thread and is always used when a quick opening and reclosure is needed.

Screw Caps made out of plastic are usually used for beverage bottles, because they can guarantee a very high security level due to hygienic reasons.

Varieties of screw caps are screw lids and tube closures. Screw lids have a flater design than the common screw cap, it also has a screw thread and is often used in the cosmetic industry. Tube closures additionally have a second exterior wall to reach certain mouldings or sizes.

Special visual designs of the screw cap are the mushroom type caps and the ball closures. Both versions have a very special look and their shapes remind of mushrooms or balls.

Plastic closures are also categorized due to their usage. There are special roll on closures for lipsticks. Or brush closures, which have an integrated brush (nail polishes)

Very specific kinds of screw caps are the so called guarantee closures and child proof caps. Both types have futher benefits. The guarantee closure enables the customer to see, if a bottle never has been opened before.
The child proof caps posses an additional interior plastic part, which prevents children from opening it.

Another interesting types of screw closures are hole closures, which are often used for nose drops bottles and hinged lid closures.

Plastic closures without screw thread are called over caps.
